    A few people have asked us about the payment-related items in the Terms of Service for this site, so I thought I'd post a little extra information.

    Hieroglyph is now, and the intention is that it will continue to be free for many uses, many people, and for much of the site. The Terms of Service is a generic one for the underlying platform ("PULP") which has various options for paid memberships, subscriptions, etc. It's a new service, so we're still pretty actively improving (or at least changing) many aspects of the setup here, and it's probable that the ToS will change before we're really happy with it. But that's why it looks like it does now.

    If you have specific questions I'll be happy to answer to the best of my ability.
