    (Wrote a longish post here and the software ate it. Will post this as a start and write more in replies if it works.)

    Unsurprisingly this site so far has a fairly United States flavour to it, given that that’s where it originated and hosted. In many ways that can be a good thing, but by the same token many of the issues that need to be addressed are global in nature. Such efforts are also likely to be more effective if they draw on the brains of the whole world, rather than the 5% of human brains residing the US.
